Optical smoke detector

An optical smoke detector is a component of fire, gas and water security and is used for early detection of smoke, heat, gas, carbon monoxide, water leakage and other dangerous conditions.

The correct implementation depends on the location, the risk profile, the desired notification and the systems with which the product must work. Ease of use and simple operation are often important in a home, while in a business environment logging, management, continuity and scalability can also be taken into account.

For reliable operation, installation, configuration and periodic checks must be viewed as a whole. A technically good product can still perform inadequately if it is installed incorrectly, is not properly maintained or is not connected correctly.
